How to decorate a hall?
Question:I am planning a Christening celebration for my children in a few weeks and have just been quoted £600 to decorate the hall. Im thinking that maybe I can do this myself. How should I go about this has anyone got any ideas? Balloon decoration, flowers, a theme?
Answers:
I'd go for themed but only putting up ballons if the hall is large, flowers are a good idea as they can still be used in other situations afterwards. Banners can easily be arranged over doorways/entrance. Make a collage of pictures of the children since they were young or how about getting a projector and projecting pictures of them since they were young onto a blank wall featuring all proud parents, grandparents ect. We did this recently at the wedding of our eldest daughter and all the children/family were included so no one was left out.
pink and blue's in ribbons and bows, string curtains in drapes and hang tiny cherubs or favourite toys around..like teddies and dolls....make it as you would for a baby! Silver helium ballons look nice too..you can do a lot with netting and curtain backing and there are dyes you can use in the washing machine.
