I've checked my Lowe's and looked on line for the 12" red vinyl stick on tiles . Any other ideas?

A friend of mine did his basement in black&white checkerboard. He got his tiles from Home Depot. They did not stock them but could and did order them. You have to ask for them and they that work in floorcoverings (if they know what they are doing) can order them for you.

Generally any kind of stick on tiles are a pain in the long run as the edges tend to come up much more quickly. If you must, buy extras now so they match later when they'll need to be replaced.
