How should I redecorate my room??
Question:I'm turning 15 in a couple of weeks, and I haven't redecorated my room in like 3 years.lol. The walls and most of the furniture are white, and its really small. I'm thinking about painting it another color, but i don't know which color to paint it. I also wanna get a canopy, but I don't know which color canopy would look best with whatever color i paint my wall.o gawd I don't know where to start please just give me some ideas!! lol..

Look at some magazines to see what style of things you like,then think outside the box. Everything doesn't need to match,flowers work with stripes etc.
in the time frame when I grew up we weren't allowed to have a choice simply because it was not our money we were spending. But you ask about color. Any color will make your room look smaller. The purpose of it being white is to make it look larger. I too always wanted a canopy but years later realized it would make the room look smaller. Why not just get bed sheets in the color you like, maybe pastels. Or patterned throw pillows to sit on and get comfortable on. Or even frilly draperies. Or get a pull down shade for your window and draw or paint something on it on the inside. Or have three tiny pictures of something you like framed in a wide boarder and make that boarder a color. Put some different kind of rim on the pillows (like they used to use on antique lamps). If you have a door that you close you can always put a calendar with pretty pictures of flowers on it, you can put a cork board on it (attach it to the top of the door where you can't see the thumbtacks and hang it by cotton grocery store string). You can get a colored telephone, or even a colored pc now. Or make yourelf a patchwork quilt from old dresses you've worn and grew out of, a kind of memory quilt. That would be colorful.
Well it depends on your personality. Keep in mind that if your room is small you want to stay away from dark colors. If you like purple then go with lavendar paint and a lavendar canopy. Then you can deocrate the bed with pillows of white, lavendar, zebra print and a dark purple.
