Painting of Door?
Question:My front door is made of metal. It is now white and constantly looks filthy so I want to paint it the same color as my trim. I was wondering what kind of paint should I use? Should it be rolled on or can I use spray? What is the bes way to put the paint on and it look good?.

if you go to the paint section at the hardward store those people are trained to tell you exactly the type of paint to use.
pick a pretty color that doesn't show off the dirt and makes you smile
you wnat paint for metal .. and you can roll or brush.. usually i will roll what i can then go over it wiht a brush for the second coat.. or you could spray paint it if yuou know someone who has a paint spryer.. its real fast
first clean it with TSP then paint with Tremclad or Rustoleum rust paint. Both are available at any hardware store. If the door is flat , rolling is fine. If it is decorative you will want to paint the designs first then roll. A spray can is expensive and would need 2-3 cans for good coverage
bettym is pretty right, but go to sherwin williams and they will get you there. if it is only one door, cut and roll.
i think if u use some primer on it and paint that then spray paint it whatever color u want it
