Is more room better or worse for reselling.?
Question:We would l ike to stay in our home and do a addition for a larger bedroom and extra bathroom and closet space. But if we decide to sell it like 15-20 years will three bedrooms sell or two bedrroms sell better?? What about bathrooms, bath and half better or would two be a bad idea??

In the case of homes, more is better..in everything. But it also depends on your neighborhood. If your additions are going to take you beyond your comparables, then you would be better off moving to a larger home in another neighborhood.
It depends on your area as to what is customary... but I would say in general the best configuration for resale is 3/2/2 (3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage)... having said that, alot of times additions are looked down on because you really have no guarantee of the quality of the addition... just be sure you get the proper permits from the city and have it inspected afterwards and keep all the paperwork so you can prove to perspective buyers that it is all up to code.
For resale 3 bedrooms are generally more desired. You limit your buyer pool with a 2 bedroom as generally a 2 bedroom appeals to a buyer who is down sizing.
3 bedrooms and a bath and a half would be great. A second bath even better, but at least the half bath.
Perfect for any family because there is a room for the boys, a room for the girls and a room for the parents. And it's always nice to have an extra toilet, especially if the main bathroom is occupied when nature calls!
