Paint scheme in my living room?

Question:What color should I go with on my living room walls? My furniture is tan and my area rug is vanilla. The remaining floors are dark hardwood.

Answers:
I would use dark red or green. The tan furniture will "pop" off a darker colored wall, and it would compliment the darker floors.

You can paint one wall red ... like a medium dark. It worked well for me. It warms the room and breaks up the monotony. If you just go with an off white everywhere else you will have a very vanilla room. Paint the other walls like a wheat ... or tongue and groove knotty pine on one wall.
I recommend a light olive or a quiet veranda (Bher paint)
three walls beige fourth wall dark tan
Paint one wall of your room any color that you will use for an accent color. Then paint the rest beige or light brown. Then repeat the accent color through the room. For example, you use lavender. Some of the pillows, the lampshade, candles, flowers, etc. should be the same color, which is lavender. And for the big furnitures, sofa, rugs, it should be the same color as your neutral walls.
A nice coca color all around, or a nice dark coco color on one wall and a little cream color on the remaining walls.
