i wish i could redo our house...
ive been redoing any elses room but i havent done mine.
all of them wants their room to be worth staying for. cool, silent with a bit of furniture and a space.
in your case you need a well lit room if you dont have a study room. paint will be lighter color. this color's kinda weird but it is very soothing to the eye. not so light but good enough for reading and any other activities. near purple very light violet color. it adopts to your teenage days and mature enough to be called teen color.
hope youll picture out the color correctly
a beachy feel you will never grow out of!
Paint it white; it gives a very spacious feel. Forget any design on the walls; it soon gets old. Add color with accessories like rugs, curtains, bedspread and so on, which you can change over time as your tastes change.
I absolutely love Rachel Ashwell's shabby chic look..white, distressed furniture, old iron beds, crystal chandeliers, cottage rose and other floral prints, light airy curtains, etc.
Here's a picture a an example. You can google Rachel Ashwell and get great ideas!
Use two colors that go good together, like red and black. But before you buy your paints, be sure you can find good bedding that matches and maybe a few other decorations that you like that fall into your color scheme.
Here's a list of colors that go good together:
Red and black (Previously mentioned)
White and black
Pink and purple
Orange and red
Lavender and indigo
Pink and orange
Blue and lime green
Mint and purple
Oh, and the two that I listed with black, you probably don't want to paint the walls black; it would be rather depressing.
(Plus dark walls make the room look smaller)
Well, that's about it.
Good luck!
go for a color of chocolate brown and add little things of a lighter brown
