What method do you use to get dirt stains out of white t-shirts?
Question:My son builds houses for a living and I cant seem to get those whites clean.
Answers:
Cold water and good old fashioned soap bar, soap. Soak the shirts in cold water , remove & rub the soap into the stain´s. Leaving the soap on and free from the water, say 1/2 hr, this lets the soap do it´s work. Back to the cold water , give a rub to the stain. This time removing from water , rub more soap, leave the soap on and pop into your washing machine on a 30ºc or 40ºc wash, add your normal washing powder. Now hang the shirts inside out . The sun will do the rest of the work for you, by bleaching out any remaing stains the natural way, and leaving your son´s white T-shirts whiter than white. If he has colored shirts do the same , but hang them outside in, when hanging them in the sun. Like this the color won´t fade , with the sun´s heat
Dirt spots on white clothes are pretty easy, it's the stains on colors that are so hard. I use Clorox Clean-up on the whites. I spray it on right before I put them in the wash and watch as the stain dissapears, then I cram it into the wash water.
