If you have textured walls is there a way to make them smooth?

Question:we have textured wall in our bathroom can that be made smooth again? also we want to paint that room but the previous resident painted with latex paint? what is the best way to get that off?

Answers:
You will have to either spackle it flat or you will have to sand it down to get it smooth.

Use a primer like Killz and then repaint over the latex.
