Minimalist part is easy- just have very little clutter. For the Moroccan part-in this country it is usually done with a mix of very deep "jewel-tone" colors- similar to the main colors in a sari, and metallic (usually gold) accents. It is often done with drapings of actual sari fabrics, but could also be achieved with paint, depending on your budget and use/space.
