Should I buy a couch or a sofa?
Question:I'm looking to buy some furniture from http://www.homereserve.com (because they have pet care fabric), they have two pieces of furniture that are the same size, one is a couch, and one is a sofa. The only difference that I can tell between the two is that one has two cushions and the other has three... is there any other difference between a couch and a sofa? Someone suggested that the sofa cushions would wear down more in the middle of the sofa, but not the couch, wouldn't the result be the same after years of time with either the couch or the sofa? And has anyone had any experiences with Home Reserve? Good or bad?
Answers:
A couch and a sofa are the same thing. The smaller is called a loveseat.
They are the same thing. Buy a couch. Sofas are kinda ugly.
dont buy any thing
go for a couch dear ..its more comfy..
I'm sorry I wasn't awear that there was a difference in them. I guess you learn something new everyday. Good luck and happy buying! Which one do you like best?
I thought it was the same thing ,but that couch was American and Sofa was English
IF U CANT DECIDE JUST PUT CARPET ON THE FLOOR AND SIT ON IT
As far as I've always heard, couch, sofa and chesterfield are the same thing. A 2 cushion "sofa" has always been called a love seat - that I've heard anyway.
A chair has one cushion, a love seat has two and a couch has 3?! No?
As to which one to buy, what do you want it for? If its for a big room, a lot of people or you'd like to nap on it, get the bigger one. Otherwise, go with the smaller.
Forget sofas and couches...go for a settee!
