Do you think this color combination is a little too girly?

Question:I'm 13 and I have to pick my room color today. I'm thiknig about orange, and the accents would be light green and yellow. Although I think I might outgrow it and it would look like a baby's room. Do you think orange walls, and light green and yellow accesories would look too girly-ish or baby-ish?

Answers:
I had a girlfriend who painted her room those 2 colors exactly and its very girly... its not a bad thing and she did enjoy it thoe we are talking about someone who faux painted her furniture to look like leapord print... honestly painting is alot of work but if your willing to do it yourself if you live with it for 5 years and get bored with it its not hard or expensive to change... personally in my oppinion I dont feel as thoe orange is a great color for a bedroom... its a very lively color and not very relaxing... it is good for inspiration and energy if you are trying to do homework and the like but when your ready to sleep its not the best color... so I think it really matters most what kind of feeling you want the color of your room to portray and then the color istself will be best for you... I would suggest getting the wall color in green... you can always get orange blankets or curtains or yellow for that matter... I think green would be the best color for the wall hands down because it works well with your accent colors and can work with other combinations as well...

I think that would look great! Maybe even get some little wall stickers for accents or something if you think it's too little-kid-ish.
Pick what you feel will work for you now... you can always change it when you don't like it any longer!
no not at all, sounds nice actually.
I am 11 years old and if i were you i would probably choose light green and pink because it is mature and it also shows that you know how to make your room stylish. If you chose orange, light green, and yellow then it would not match because it just wont. Well, i hope i helped.
It is really you are opnion. But i like it!.
Why don't you pick a neutral color for the walls, then you can have orange, light green, & yellow accents in your room. (curtains, bedspread, rugs, etc.) It's easier to change accessories than it is to repaint as you grow bored with the wall colors. Just a thought. Keep in mind the size of your bedroom & how many windows, before selecting a wall paint. The darker the color, the smaller the room will seem.
No it sounds good to me and I am 66 yrs old. My granddaughter is 17 and she has thoeas colors
Yes I do. But really Darlin, I don/t think You want Orange. (After a while, it seems to change your attitude, from nice To Down Right Mean! ) Really! I would use some soft colors> Keep you in a "sweet" Mood. (My I3 Yr. old Grandaughter's Room was Just Finished) It is Soft Blue Walls and Burgundy Drapes, and Bedspread and Throw Rugs. Really Looks Very Nice. ( We are still working on her attitude, tho) (smile)
girly
The colors sound great! You may want to paint the walls with the yellow or green and use the orange along with one other color as the accent colors. Orange is such a strong color it is usually best in small doses.
This combination does not sound babyish or girlish at all. It sounds tasteful, but fun.
Hope this helps.
i think they would look great but you might get sick of the orange. maybe blue or purple would go great with the other colors you picked.
