Assistant decorator?

When I had my TV show, we had a decorator for our set who had an assistant and design firms have both positions. Decorators and their assistants do not have degrees in interior design, but do have training and education. The decorators cannot make structural changes to spaces, nor can they change electrical or plumbing specifications. The decorator and their assistants are generally responsible for staging accessories, furniture placement, fabric selections, and can be involved with the creation of window treatments, make flooring suggestions, style selections, themes and motifs. They also participate in shopping and procurement. In some states, licenses and accredited course work or certifications are required.
i would think it is a person who assists the decorator... They might be need for running errands, and just all around helping the decorator do what they need to do... I dont think you need special requirements for this task, maybe some decorating skills...
