My husband and I are debating?

Question:My husband and I were discussing what would be harder to do yourself in your home, electrical, plumbing, hvac, or sheetrock and mudding? He is an electrician so of course he thinks electrical is the hardest, and thinks anyone can do the other trades. We are just curious about what others think. I'm sure each trade thinks theirs is the hardest. Any comments?

Answers:
Level of difficulty from hardest to easiest (if I were to attempt it myself):
1. Electrical
2. HVAC
3. Plumbing (have done it)
4. Sheet rock/mudding (have done it)

Definitely Electrical

I owned a V entilation C ompany and We also did Plumbing.the Electrical is the Most Difficult by FAR ! Complicated and precarious....
Well to be doing hvac work, you have to be certified to handle the freon, and in order to do that you have to take a class, and pass some tests, so it takes motovation at least to do that.
In my opinion, from hardest to the easiest it would be HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, then shhetrock and mudding as it is the easies of them all!
I hope this answers your question, my husband can do it all, and I can't get him to do any of it at home. (lil joke honey, just a joke)
I would have thought your husband, being an electrician would think his job was easiest, since he knows what he is doing. Personally, I think sheetrock is the hardest, just because of the weight ...and the mudding sure gets my arm tired while sanding...the self-adhesive tape makes it one less step, which is a help from the way I did it 40 years ago..
I find plumbing to be a real pain, one little leak and everything is ruined.
Well... all the work done by someone else always looks easier for you (or anyone), and the work you (anyone) does, looks toughest to him. So, there is no use of a debate, all the work is equally tough, and you must respect each-other for working hard to secure the future of yours / your kids.
No...I have done them all and hubby is right.Electricity is the "hardest" to do yourself because it will only work one way.the right way. All the others leave a little room for imperfection. Plumbing is the hardest physically because of the digging, and prolly the nastiest too. Sheetrock/mudding are both easy, and fun, but that stuff gets EVERYWHERE. It cleans up easily though. hvac entails electricity so I'm gonna say it's the second "hardest" and expensive.
Wish I could Help, But I Never get in the Middle Of A Husband and Wife Debate. (smile) I know you will think of something.
