Can I use wood stain to stain an interior concrete floor?

Question:I am looking to stain my concrete floors but the acid stains seem too complicated. Would it be possible to simply use wood stain and seal it with 2-3 coats of ployurethane? Would the stain wear off?

Answers:
acid wash it and then use H& C . if you are going to park a car on it use oil, if not the latex will last years!

If the concrete is not sealed, it will, as a porous surface, absorb the wood stain, though I'm not sure with what success. Suggest you inquire either at the hardware store, or contact the wood stain manufacturer. (And they may have a website through which you can e-mail a question.) Is there a back corner on which you could test it?
I am not sure.
I wouldn't try it.

I worked in place.they painted floor.
maybe paint and some clear coat would be better than wood stain on concrete.

concrete doesn't have grain like wood does.
It's gonna look brown anyway so might as well paint it brown.

Not sure how the wood stain would dry...
would it dry properly?
you might wind up with a tacky for the next year and a half mess.
wood stain would dry. it should say on the can or container. not sure why you would want a "concrete floor"... They make concrete sealers and prefinishes so you can lay down linoleum or vinyl flooring or carpet...
