Kitchen Worktop, sealing against wall...?
Question:Instead of piping silicone along the join where the worktop meets the tiles/wall, what else is there that would look nicer?
Also is there anything to close small gaps between a worktop and an appliance such as cooker?
Answers:
Yes you can buy plastic trim

Wooden beading can be glued into place. Similar to that which is used to finish off around the edge of a wood floor room.
I can't really think of anything else you could use, but if the main reason is the colour of the silicone, then you can buy other colours to match your decor.
Great answer by WIZ. Spend a small fortune on kitchen units and wall tiles and then fit plastic strips allover the place. Great!.No Iam sorry but a very small bead of silicon the same colour as the work top is best, you do not notice the silicon and you must have water tight joint. As for gaps you should have had inset hob! no worry you can buy a T bar to fit to the base unit side at the top one side fits over worktop and one fits over cooker edge. And i bet DRAGONERs kitchen looks great. he must be a friend of wiz
i agree with stew pot
dragoner is an idiot
I'm not sure why you don't want to use silicone, you could try Polycell sealant strips. They are more expensive than silicone but are easy to use.
