Is it okay for my walls to paint them with grafitti?
Question:We're getting a new house, and I really wanted to have one of my rooms be graffiti-ish. As in, I invite my friends over and we write and draw things on the walls. I don't want to have a boring room, so I thought this might be a cool idea. My only worry is that it will be hard to paint over...would it be okay to just have a pink background color and spraypaint in multicolors?
If this won't work, than what are some suggestions for a cool paint job? (please include trim color)
Don't make them boring, please. Thanks :~)
Answers:
Maybe you could put up a plain wall paper for people to paint the graffitti on then if you got tired of it you could just pull it off and start all over.
Why wouldn't it be? It's your house. There is no law against it.
(Walls can't paint.)
It seems okay, if you ever paint over it, just be sure to use a good primer.
We used to do that to our basement when I was 5, it does look really cool, glow-in-the dark stuff is the best!
it sounds really cool
Just be ABSOLUTELY SURE... that if you walls are latex painted for the 1st coats... use latex graffiti paint... same goes for oil-based...
If you mix the 2... BIG TIME PROBLEMS..
When you are wanting to paint over the graffit-ish use KILLZ primer, it works grate at covering, just make sure that you fill in any marks made from writing utensils that were used to do your graffiti-ish design. Once the marks are filled in and sanded, paint with Killz (primer) then your paint color.
Also, they have blue painters tape that you can use to make some cool designs with and paint with a color or colors that you like.
I personally loved the colors, Burgundy, navy blue, Robbin blue, cream colors, hunter green. Don't be afraid to use bold colors, they make dramatic flare to a room.
Why not?
why not do it just do it
Be sure to use my avatar
when you decide to repaint it you can get a primer called BIN. It will cove almost anything
