Decoration ideas?
Question:I need ideas on how to decorate my room...My room isn't big or small so its normal..I'm so tired of it cuz its too normal lol. So I need ideas like... Hang pictures on the wall and stuff.. Not like, go buy urself and 70 in plasma screen! lol Yea so i just need some ideas on decorating my room!

well just start off by painting one of your walls to add an accent to your room. Hang pictures of your choice, take pictures if you would like or cut out magazine pictures that you ifnd interesting and define YOU. And use thumb tacks to put them up..sort of make your own collage. If you want to go for a classic look then try findeing framed pictures that you like and hang them strategically on one wall.
add curtains, plants and accesories. Get rid of things that you dont use, dont be a pack rat cause that only makes your room look messy.

Get a bunch of different photo frames and make a college of pictures on one of your walls. You could print pictures in black and white to make it look cool.

Choose a base paint in which you love the color! Then choose a color that offsets this main color. Buy a large sponge for faux finishing...Home Depot, Loews, etc... and just have fun! Apply the second color by getting it lightly on your sponge. Then, you can swirl it, dab it or, whatever you want to do with it! It is fun, creative and very pretty when finished!
You can also make it look like leather by using a cloth and adding more faux glaze. This effect is very cool!
You can apply as many colors as you like too. WARNING...if you use multi-colors, you had better choose pastel colors or, it will be one wild room!

What room are you decorating? First, choose a fabric or something with a pattern that you like. It could be a pillow, bedspread, sofa, chair or rug. Take the 2 most prominent colors in the fabric and go from there. You could use one color as your base color and the other as an accent color. Use one color on the wall, and let the other color reflect in your accent pieces such as; pillows, vases, pictures and lamps. It's easier to decorate with two colors as oppose to three when you're unsure of your decorating style. So, try it for starters. Get magazines, look at model home pictures and view furniture store vignettes for inspiration. Good Luck.
