Is it legal to convert your garage into a storage room - area? I'm a distributor of food products.?

Question:I'm having duct work in my garage so it will become cold from the central air.

I am also having a wall placed BEHIND my garage door so people on the outside can not see what is inside the garage.

Is this feasible?

Answers:
Check with your local code enforcement officer. We had to get a building permit to enclose our garage, even though we weren't going to use it for living space. Just wanted to wall it off so people on the street didn't have to look at our stuff piled up.

depending on where you live, you may need a building permit from the city. but as long as you have the proper paperwork ,you should be fine =D
