Will light orange or apple green match more colors?
Question:I'm getting a new room, and I have to choose a color today! I'm only 13. Since, I'm starting with the painting first, and not the accesories, which color matches more colors?
Answers:
Well, actually, strictly speaking, both of those colors will match loads of other colors. Usually, you would start with a decorative object that you'll be putting in your room and take a color from that. Since you won't be doing that, here is what I suggest.
Go with the green instead of the orange. Don't get a screaming green. Orange is a very agressive color and you may find that you aren't very comfortable in the room if you paint it orange. Green, on the contrary, is a restful color and will make you enjoy your room better.
When choosing your green, choose a color that is described by two words, such as crisp apple instead of just apple. Two words imply a complexe color, which is much richer and will give the room more depth and texture. Oh... and don't forget to use a black item in the room to ground everything together. This is essential in good decorating!
Enjoy your room!
The apple green. My daughter painted her room orange & within the year she asked to paint it a new color. Almost noting matches orange with looking like Halloween.
It was her choice but she hated it.
Enjoy your new room!
Go with the Apple Green, you have only to look to nature, there is green everywhere and it doesn't clash with anything, whereas Orange is a made up colour and quite harsh, the only colours that would go with Orange would be Brown tones which would be depressing.
