Easy room decorations?
Question:I have been decorating my bedroom lately and I need easy, cheap ways to decorate my room. The walls are a mint green and i have a hot pink/red door with brown trim. I don't have any floor space, or wall space, but my walls are so boring, what are some things I could do to make my room more exciting?

go to a sewing supply and cloth store. buy some remnants in bright colors. Take some tacks and hang the cloth from the ceiling. You will get an Arabian, tented feeling to your room. It will also mute the light and make your room feel more cozy. It will also take away the sharp angles that you get from a bare ceiling. Also will mute sound and lend a certain quiet ambience to your room.

Find some old, cheap vinyl records at a garage sale or flea market (make sure they're not valuable ones by checking ebay after you've bought them). Hang records on nails in a decorative, creative way! You can arrange them in a cluster in one area, or as a border at the top of the wall, right below the ceiling.

I think shelves would be great. You'd get extra storage and you could showcase special keepsakes on them. You can buy them now where there easy to up too. A nice big white board and/or bulletin board would be good also. You can express yourself all kinds of ways with those. Of course pictures are fun too. Get frames that hold a variety, or just do a collage. That's always fun for friends to look at it. Have fun with whatever you choose to do!
Keep with the colors pink, red and brown - maybe a paler mint green, too.
Mix the walls up with a painted checker board or mat board on one wall, pink red and brown multi-sized stripes on another, maybe a diagonal stripes or zig-zags in an area.just enough to identify one work space from another.
Well depending your budget get a large piece of ply wood and get some fabric to coordinate with your room. Get some silk ribbon and place criss cross over the wood and hang on your wall. From there you can place your fav pictures in the silk ribbon.
You can buy some curtain wall scones and place them over your bed and place some material inside the scones and let the fabric hang over your wall over your bed.
