Is it possible to obtain slipcovers for the Ikea Lillberg Series not designed by Ikea?
Question:I purchased the Lillberg series sofa, loveseat, chair, and rocker some time ago. The base is birch veneer and the cushions are beige. Ikea designers have since created black cushions, and black and white cushions with a black frame and I wish I could trade.
Since that is impossible I am wondering if I'll be able to find slipcovers to cover this furniture. I like the furniture since it is durable and comfortable but it looks very plain and I am redecorating my living room.
I don't know how to sew or I'd create my own. Does anyone have any affordable suggestions for slipcovers (not sold by Ikea) that would cover all the cushions at once or each individually since I would need to cover 14 individual cushions (6 for the sofa, 4 for the loveseat, 2 for the chair and rocker)
I must stress the importance of it being affordable. I don't want to pay too much more than I paid for the entire set of furniture!
I am looking for a way to round out the back of the furniture and the arms.

Ikea won't trade you for your old slipcovers, but you can definitely buy the new black and white slipcovers if you like those. They are $20 for each set (back cushion cover and seat cushion cover together). Check out this link: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/produc...
You can even use the website to check the availability of your favorite color at your closest IKEA.
What is great about the Lillberg cushions is that they are all the same cushion regardless of whether it is on the rocker, the loveseat, or the sofa. You can mix and match black with your old beige cushions so you don't have to buy ALL new ones.
"Affordable" means different things to different people, but I'm sure $20 is the cheapest you could hope to pay for a set. People on eBay are selling them for around $30 plus shipping.
There is also a company called Bemz that sells Ikea slipcovers. They do not feature the Lillberg cushions on their website, but it seems you can ask them to make whatever slipcover that Ikea makes. But you would have to contact them for pricing. www.bemz.com
Also, if you have any other Ikea related questions, you should check out IkeaFans.com. That is an online community of Ikea freaks who know a lot about Ikea products, so you could ask them.
