Which colour combination do you prefer for your house?

Question:Interior or Exterior? Specify separately..
My decision depends upon your choice

Answers:
I prefer neutrals with splashes of color here and there. A designer really cannot recommend colors without knowing how big your rooms are. I could recommend you use red in your family room, but if it is small, that would be a bad idea.

I like the use a good khaki as the foundation for the interior walls. It is universally appealing, and all of your furnishings will coordinate. Paint all of your moldings white! It gives the house a crisp finished look. Here are my personal recommendations for you:

Benjamin Moore - Guesthouse (1118, for the interior), Classic Caramel (1119, for the interior), Toasted Almond (1098, For the Exterior), Simple Pleasures (1097, For the Exterior), Currant Red (1323 for the door), Lafayette Green (Shutters, HC-135)

Well, I live in a mediterrainian style house and I'm going to paint the Interior walls.

The colors I like to give it a warm old world mediterrainian look are these colors.

Rich forest gold.
Rust
Taupe
White and
Salmon

The exterior colors I like are :

Taupe
Rust
Eggshell and
Beige
Exterior: I like beige/taupe with dark green trim. It just looks clean and smart.
Interior: I like pale yellows with pale browns

I really hate blue walls. Pale blue walls just look cold and lonely. I know blue was a trend for awhile, but it looks horrid and show up skuffs and marks more visible.
I live in South Africa and have to adopt an african theme. We also have warm to hot summers and cool winter. Therefore we have rust-orange with cream as the colour combination in my house
Say hello to Pink all around! LOL! Sorry couldn't resist I think this is the best question yet. Outside I guess depends on what style house, landscape, location, etc...For the interior you know many people will probably disagree, but when you look at what celebraties choose for there interior is white. Introducing color comes from what they choose to accessorise their living space with. Like hard wood floors (warmth), candles, lighting, fireplaces, rugs (not carpet), tile, flowers, sofas, fabrics, etc...I would go online, and look up some interior decoraters for some ideas. For exterior though use a color that matches the setting of your home. For instance if you live in the woods maybe light greens, yellows, white, or some neutral tones.
I prefer light shades for interior and exterior both.
Exterior of my home is dark gray, white trim with red accents.
Exterior: white aluminum siding, barn green shutters, medium brown trim around window frames, barn nred door and door trim.

Interior: dark green carpet, cranberry drapes, tan walls, tan/green/cranberry tweed sofa and love seat, same color combo in very muted tones for 2 floral recliners.
