my hubby is a painter and decorater, and he tild me that you should go for silk, as that is all the speciaclist kitchen and bathroom paint is, they just call it that to make an extra 5 quid a tin out of you. prep the walls before you pait though if teh paint that was on it before is cracked and peeling, you should sand it down first, or the new layer will be cracked too. silk is shiny and when its fully dried won't let moisture thru. plus it can be wiped down.matt will crack and peel, and will come off if you try to wipe it. hope this helps

Get a proper kitchen and bathrooms paint they are best due to the excessive moisture and get a decent brand. dont cut corners.
silk it will reflect light and in a small room that will make a difference
Semi-gloss is best in a bathroom.
You will need a vinyl paint and I would go for silk. BTW Green? Yargh why not stick to white with pics or ornaments to break it up
Dont gloss anywhere! Its a nightmare to clean up if you drop anything! And it STINKS! :D Use an eggshell paint for the woodwork.

i would also go with silk, or a proper bathroom one,,,it'll cope better with the moisture as already said.

Matt's may be v hard to wipe clean should you need to.
You need to purchase either Kitchen and Bath paint or semi-gloss paint. I would personally recommend semi-gloss paint. Also I think that your pale green would be perfect. Benjamin Moore has a great green, Kittery Point Green (HC-119), that would be perfect for you. I recommend either Benjamin Moore, or Valspar because you are painting a high traffic area and these are good quality paints. A gallon of Valspar is around 25 dollars, it is very affordable.
The best paint would be semi-gloss, and make certain it is an acrylic paint and a waterproof one.Matt painting in a bathroom can give problems. Not easy to wipe away moisture. Anyway A silk sheen looks better in a small area, and reflects light, making small room lighter.Good Luck!
Buy Soft Sheen. It is washable but not as shiny as Silk. Go to Johnstones Leyland and get any colour mixed in it.
