Where can I buy carpet 5m wide?!?
Question:I have an L-shaped room thats 5m x 5m (if it were square). I would like a carpet wide enough to cover the floor in one go, so I dont end up with a seam along the middle. Any ideas where I could get one? Most carpet stores dont supply ones that wide.

i had a similar prblem i think i've got the worlds longest hall way and i didnt want seams in it! but that wouldve meant i bought something 15m long and 3/4 m wide! nightmare! so i got my hall way in 3m then a bar1 its MUCH chepaer and easir to lay! plus it doesnt look that bad! honest! i got three seems btu you fdont even notice them now! jsut make sure u get apile carpet and not a loop one otherwise the lopp will pull and ur carpet will be bare while pil;e carpets u only loose the odd bit on the edges and that stops in a couple of weeks after being layed
It would have to be specially made. V expensive.
Try a company called Ryalux.I think you can get any width .You can order to the nearest 10cm,so you do not have much waste.They have a site on the internet,Type in Ryalux and follow it up.
There are plenty and most carpet shops can get them. They may not stock them but they should have samples and can order them for you. Ring The Carpet Shop in Penzance 01736 365000 if you have a problem. They do not need to be specially made for you at all and range from £10 per metre fitted upwards -
