How much should I pay for material to make this staircase on this link?

Question:http://www.hearthstonegeorgia.com/images...

How do you attach it? Do you attach it to the subfloor before you put on the finished floor? If you attach to the subfloor how do you reinforce the subfloor and do you leave a gap around the bottom for your stringers so that your finished floor slips under slightly? Is pine the best wood for this? How about Douglas Fir or other woods? What specific finishes should you use? Where specifically is the best place to get this type of lumber? Will a skill saw and a sawsall be good enough to make the cuts or do I need other saws? Im in East TN.

Thanks for your help!

Answers:
You are clueless about attaching it to the subfloor, yet you have no problem attempting constructing such an ambitious project. Your eyes are bigger than your skill and knowledge. Just trash the money now, you'll just be throwing it out later wasting lumber.
