Does anyone have suggestions when decorating a nursery?
Question:I am due with first child at the end of October. We are having a little boy. For his room we have are going to do a jungle theme. My husband and I both like the bedding set called "Jungle Babies". But I have never really decorated a room before.. we want it to be like walking into a real jungle in there. But not to much where it would scare a baby or toddler. Any suggestions?

They also have washable paint, so you might try your artistic side and paint trees monkeys but make sure they have smile..y faces. Make sure you dont have any thing small enough to swallow..chocking hazards. Or shadows that might scare a child at night..things standing or hanging..Doing some of the art work yourself makes it more personal and customised. Some stores have things u can copy. Maybe animals. And non toxic washable paint. Just remember the paint on walls could be toxic to your baby if you breath it so if your gonna paint the wall have someone else do it and let it dry and air it out before you enter.
Paint the wall a light green and get them removable stickers of jungle themes you can probably get them from Walmart, Lowes and put them on the walls. My sister did Care Bears and she has Care Bear stickers all over.
yeah do the carebear thing, her sister is totally hott. trust me.
Keep the walls simple so you can change the bedding with age changes. Go to HGTV network and check out fun ideas.
try morbid posters like Rob Zombie,Marilyn manson make him grow up to be a man not a wuss
I think u should go to a paint shop n look through the colors find a nice suitable green color must likely jungle green!! and if u can u probably find forest stencils of trees and what ever suits u and your husband!!
At home depot & lowes they have things called "Wallies". They are similar to wallpaper but removable. You can get coordinating borders & designs. They even have wall murals. I like them because they are fool proof & I think painting murals for kids is a mistake. They will grow out of it & you will be painting over it anyway. I compared the price to buy all of the paint & supplies to the price of the wallies & its pretty much the same.
