Can I have an Acryllic Painting in my bathroom?

Question:Or would the steam from the shower water make it run and ruin it?

Answers:
Acrylic even though it is water based will turn to a rubbery plastic and is insoluble after it dries, like most of your caulking around your sink, tub and windows after it cures it's water proof.

Wipe it occasionally with a damp cloth to keep the colors vibrant.

I had an acrylic painting in my bathroom for years and didn't have any problems with it. It looked exactly the same throughout the entire time I had it.
Acrylic doesnt run its almost bombproof that stuff...its watercolours that would run. The only problem is with the canvas that the painting may be on, that may get soggy or weakened by the steam over time ,depending how close it is to the shower head steam. If the painting is on hardboard you should be ok, You can also spray a coating of polyurethane over it to make sure it stays water proofed.
If my understanding is correct, water based Acrylic paint normally dries faster than oil based paint. Acrylic Painter constantly suffers when Acrylic water contain dries up faster than normal oil paint.
Bathroom provides higher than normal humid environment. No reason why it can't be an ideal painting room, after you have furnished it as comfortable as you want for your painting activities. This creative move prevents other rooms from contamination, with a relevant ventilation of course.
