I want to paint my kitchen with an orange color my cabinet are a cherry finished will these work..?
Question:the cabinets have just a tent of red not very cherry closer to brownish cherry

Dude I spent a summer painting houses that is definatly going to appear darker in those areas. Your going to need one or two coats of primer before applying the orange paint. Remember to let each coat to dry before applying the next coat or the orange and to sand the cabinents prior to painting. you can get more info from the paint store just ask them they will help, good luck.

i would say if you like the color orange for your kitchen go for a softer orange not a dark orange ..that can make the kitchen look dark and very 70's? i dunno... go for a bright tangerine or a orange cream color and it should brighten up ur kitchen . it should look ok with the cabinets.. you can always get a color sample from lowes and match it up to ur cabinets and then judge whether it looks well together.. or taka pic of the cabinets and ask the color experts at lowes which orange matches best . I would go with a blood orange color. Be sure there is more red than yellow, as this will allow the colors to blend better.
orange is my favorite color,and i painted my kitchen just like you are describing,with the same color of cabinets and i get a lot of compliments on it. go for it. you can't please everyone who will come over,and if you like it,that's all that matters.
