Question:Since our homes walls are thin, the wall isn't strong enough for my new bulition board. I want to keep the board.

Answers:
I also have thin walls and have to use a mollybolt. It is a screw that has an anchor with it. Do a google image search for molly bolt to see what it looks like. Any hardware store carries it. It works but let me warn you, it will leave a large hole in your wall if you remove it.

lean it up aginist the wall like on the ground but leaning on the wall.
The wall is strong enough just nail or screw it into a stud in the wall.
well a bulletin board is lightweight so to be perfectly honest with you i don't understand their concern. i would keep it and hang it if i were you and just hang normal stuff on it (i.e., papers and push pins). i mean, gosh, how thin can the walls be to be unable to support a bulletin board? is it huge? maybe a smaller bulletin board is better. good luck
What do you mean when you say your home's walls are thin? Do you mean the drywall sheets used are thin? Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Either put the screws you use to hang it (and screws will hold better than nails) into the studs (you can find those using a stud finder or by tapping GENTLY along the wall with a hammer until it doesn't sound hollow anymore) or by using a hollow wall hanger. These are screws specifically designed for hanging only in drywall. There are several different varieties that work in slightly different ways, all available at your local hardware store or in the fasteners section at Wal-mart.

I myself have had great luck with the 3M Command fasteners. You may need to use several to support the weight, depending on the size of your bulletin board, but they hold very well.

Another option are cork tiles, available in the office supply section where you probably bought your bulletin board. These come with little peel and stick squares that attach to the walls. Or you could hang them with a construction grade adhesive like Liquid Nails (available in the glue and tape section of Wal-Mart or Lowe's hardware area). One warning though, Liquid Nails is a permanent solution.

Good luck with it!
Mollys are good, but not necessary. Just get some small plastic wall anchors. They make a hole the size of a nail. Instructions on package.
