In the UK try Woolworth's or Wilkinson's.I would recommend the felt stick on ones as they also help when moving your furniture on wooden or laminate...wouldn't a nail scratch the floor?

I bought mine at Lowe's. I'm sure Home Depot (and possibly wal-mart) carries them, too.
Hardware stores carry a couple of types that would work. The best for protection are metal and have a felt pad on the bottom and can be pounded on with a hammer. The chairs will glide easily and won't mar the floor. Also available are one that have a teflon pad they would not be quite as easy on the wood floor but last a long time and glide easily also. You may want to pre-drill the hole for the built in nail to make them easier to install and keep from splitting the chair leg.
