What is an in-law suite?
Question:I have seen it in those small home magazines and it is sometimes called a teen suite. HELP
Answers:
An In-Law Suite is an area of a home that is self -sufficient within itself for one or at most two people to live and have their own privacy within a home. It usually has a 3/4 (shower stall) or full bath, and kitchenette. Sometimes it has a separate entrance but generally not, and usually is not recognized as a separate unit by a town or municipality (otherwise it would be called a 2-family). It became popular as a "mother-in-law apartment" because people would have a family member come live with them after their partner passed away. and the in-law apt. allowed all family members living there a little privacy
a self contained area with it's own kitchen and bath...
Yup what he said, it's like a little apartment either somewhere in the main house building or like a guest house or something like that.
its like a mini house inside a big house. the section will usually be somewhat secluded from everything else and will have a bathroom a small sitting area with a futon, pull out couch, or a separate bedroom.
It is a self contained apt.with it's own kitchen bath and entrance at times it also has access to main house (usually were family is involved)It also has it's own heating system and lights. This is a way for family member to have own apt. but still be close to family
EITHER ONE, IS COMPOSED OF A ROOM WITH POSSIBLY T.V KITCHENETTE AND BATH. IF YOUR LUCKY IT'LL HAVE A SOFA AND CHAIR. SORTA LIKE A VERY SMALL EFFIENCY APT.
