Basement Bathroom Tile Question?

Question:We are getting our basement finished. We plan on putting a full bathroom in the basement. I'm hoping to pick out a tile floor soon. I keep hearing I'm suppose to pick a lighter color tile to make the bathroom seem bigger. The cabinets are a maple toffee color which is a lighter color. I was thinking of having the floors done in a darker tile though. I had this done in my master bathroom and I didn't think it looked to bad.

Question: if you were to tile the floor, would you go for a lighter or darker color tile?

Answers:
Go with darker floors and lighter walls.
We are building a small space spec home with tiny bathrooms and experimented with different color combinations to make the rooms seem larger than they were. The darker floors look fabulous paired with lighter colored walls (light yellow, light sage, creamy beige).
