How do i declutter my home and attic of things ?
Question:I have a house, full of bits and bobs which are taking up space and re-designing my well planned house.
Answers:
You could always box it all up and send it to me! :)
We moved to Central America in February and were told to bring this and not bring that. We were told we could buy everything we needed right here...so we sold or gave away this and that.but now I don't have any gitchy-goomies taking up space. :)
So here is how you go about it. Set aside three different areas (a garage or dining room is usually a good space for this) In this 'Space' place have three separate spaces. You may want to use different colored sheets to keep everything in order. One is for give away, one is for yard/garage/tag sale and one is for undecided items. Walk though each room and take things you are tired of, that are broken, etc to 'The Space' Give yourself X amount of time to get it all done. As you go take a large trash bag with you and throw all trash away.old mail, newspapers, etc. (forget recycling on the cleaning spurts - just get it outta your way)
Most important of all - enjoy your newly redesigned space!
Hope this helps.
Just start throwing crap out
You can have a garage sale, sometimes called a yard sale, or donate your stuff to a charity organization. Have fun!
Hi, there are so many options , drop of at charity shops , go for car boot sales, or better still check out yahoo groups theres an interesting group that has a fun way of decluttering your house with the view of you making a bit of cash in the process, check it out ''Declutterthathouse'', seems good, i've joined.
We just had a yard sale, and made over 300 bucks. Not bad for 3 hours!
It is very difficult to give up things that you have collected over the years. Unfortunately, they grow into monsters. I have a rule in my house. If I haven't looked for it or touched it in two years, it needs to go. Because of this I have a garage sale every two years. I pick something I really want for my home, like pouring a new concrete patio, or buying new ceiling fans, and apply the garage sale money to that. If I have some valuable things I want to sell, I usually sell them on Ebay to get a better price than a garage sale. My lowest garage sale made $700 and my best garage sale made $1500.
Here is a great guide http://www.6url.com/1BFU
