Where can I find decorating ideas?

Question:My best friend and I are about to move out of our parents' homes for the first time. We are moving to Atlanta, GA, and we are trying to figure out how we should decorate. Usually if I see something that I like, then I can make something like it only cheaper. Like I saw a $129 chair that I liked. I went to Goodwill, got a similar chair frame and reupholstered it, $50 all together. My friend and I like retro, kinda bright chaotic look. We've been looking on line for ideas, but all I can find is "how to fix your toilet" or "stripping your walls". Anyone have any sites?

You might try www.hgtv.com. They have a lot of decorating how-tos. Also the Better Homes and Gardens site - although they may not have as much of the specific style you're looking for (but still some good basics).

I have found the best way to find good ways to decorate is to go look at model homes in new subdivisions or Condominiums. I just bought a condo and the empty ones were rather plain but when we went through the models the transformation from plain to fabulous was amazing. They decorate in different styles and they had some retro ones as well. Have fun!
Ikea is a great starting place to look for inexpensive decor. It's very modern
