○Help with my Sunshine Bedroom?! (pics)○?
Question:Hello there. I have just painted my new bedroom wall sunshine yellow which I love so much. Initially, I decided to buy all white furnitures, which will make the room really strikingly bright, but then I have found this!

This is a black ornate bed from IKEA, I really want to get it, but will it affect the overall style (bright, clean) of the room? And considering that it is victorian (kind of) style, should I get the other furnitures victorian too? Is it necessary to change the whole bedroom colour scheme from white to black to maintain the consistency?

If you really love this bed get it. Just add yellow and white pillows to the bed to pull the theme together. you may even be able to loop sheer fabric through the bed. maybe white?
Just a word to the wise on white furniture. It gets dirty and ugly FAST. I had a white bedroom suite as a teenager and it lasted for maybe a year. After that, it got sun faded and dingy.

Why dont you paint the bed white. It looks like all you would need to do is to sand it, prime and then paint it. It may be a little bit of work but then you would have everything you want.
I don't think all the furniture has to match, all black or all white.Especially if you are going for a Victorian style.Look through magazines for ideas.Bring in the black in picture frames and other accent pieces.
If I were going to use this bed in my room, I would keep only one wall painted yellow, the rest would be white. I would have the wall be opposite the bed ( not having the bed up against the yellow). White furniture would look fine with that bed, just keep it in the same Victorian style.
