What is the best and easiest way to spruce up my wood flooring?
Question:I just removed the carpet, tacks, and nails in my bedroom and the wood floor looks really great. The wood is in really good condition but the shine is a bit dull. Is it possible to just run some mineral water over it and wax over it? Please advise because I need an easy 1 day solution before the house party. PS Its a big room but does have a lot of furniture and a big rug covering most of the floor.
Thank you

If youve only got 1 day to get this job done,Move furniture out into hall way, then, youll, have to give a light sand ,depending on the size of the room, thatll take you, 2 to 3 hours, sweep off dust, 7 minutes, lay down fast drying laquer, or stainvarnish, 20 to 30 minutes, then leave to dry, thatll take all the rest of the day and night to dry (just to be sure).Move stuff back into room and then ....,PARRRRRTY>>>
Minwax makes a product called "Hardwood Floor Revivor" I have never used it.. but it might be what you are looking for. Hope this helps. You should be able to get this product at your local home depot or other hardware stores
if you removed the nails and tacks, then I would reccomend filling them, and sanding the floor, then refinishing it. If you dont have time to rent a sander and redo the floors, then just get some minwax revivor, or even lemon oil, and rub (with grain) to a shine. You can check at your local Hardware store for my ideas.
