I use cedar posts with garden fencing. Treated posts are treated with chemicals and you don't want that in your garden.
I have seen some good looking fences using pallets (the wooden things they ship big items on in case you didn't know that already). You can always find someone looking to give these away and they can be decorated, painted or stained. They aren't good for keeping out smaller animals however.
Visit Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. for more ideas. Most have fencing books full of plans.
Perhaps you should look in a lumber yard
pressure treated wood, then use a sealent to keep out moisture.
