That sounds really neat..make sure your ceilings are high enough to handle the horizontal lines...it can make a big room look stuffy if you have low walls..
The colors are great....sounds good and have fun.
You won't see the closet once you have clothes and sports equipment piled up in there. Why not paint one wall with chalkboard paint and let your friends constantly change the board with colors and/or white chalk? It can be your own art center or graffiti. Riffing on that.teal and yellow are too strong for my taste and you will probably tire of that color scheme quickly. Try clicking on this link and see what others have done.
I changed the colors of my room every year starting when I was 10, but I could sew and paint like a professional. I designed homes, hospitals and restaurants for years beginning as an 18 year old in college when the state of Ohio chose me as one of their designers.
Have fun and remember: it is a small room and you are going to be spending a lot of time in there!
Wow, it seems like a lot of bright colors there! Maybe you can browse IKEA's website for ideas of furniture, rugs, colors, and stuff.
wow it seems like fun with the permanent marker idea and the horizontal colorful design. when i was younger i also decided to paint my room in bright colors (magenta and green...kind of hawaiin theme) it was great but after two years i got tired of it and tomorrow i'm painting my room in a natural color. good luck.
