Hey my mom gave me a room to make into a hangout. any suggestions?
Question:hey dudes, its me again. im askin this question again because i think my earlier one has expired. i am, again, making a room with, now, all grey walls, a tv, dvdplayer, couch, tv stands, possibly beanbag chairs, and a mini fridge. i need help, because again, im not a good designer. im trying to keep it contemporary like lots of greys, whites, and blacks. i need some answers so please help me.

You should make one wall a canvas and paint circles and squares and random lines all over it overlapping eachother with the colors you want. It'll look really awesome. also Paint another wall in chalkboard paint. it's really cool and you and your friends can write on it with chalk and erase it later. it's black so it'll go well with your colors. Make sure you have lots of couch pillows for lounging on the couch, floor or wherever you choose. Make sure you have a table and chairs in your space too. just incase you want to play cards or anything like that.
Also.. use glow in the dark paint on your walls too. use a little in your artwork or make your own cool design on a different wall. it'll only show up when the lights are off!!
have a feaure wall-either paint it a darker colour or put a design on it then put the most important things against that wall.
Make sure everything you have is usable and is not wasting space. Erm Lots of little decorations make a big difference, i'm decorating my room!
black lights...because everyone looks better under a black light and i'm sure the girly's will appreciate it when you invite them in!
I make a poker table (u can find instructions online), install a stripper pole, and get a good set of groopies. Otherwise it will be a lot of guys bored in a room.
paint one wall red...the one facing it grey..and paaint the other two white!
put whateva u like becasue it will be ur hangout and its up to u what u put in it.
well if its ALL yours to do with you as you please - then heck theres LOTS you can do ! IF it were me, I would start a bunch of custom artwork on the walls - maybe do some myself - maybe get some help - things that are cool. I like the smoking lounge look so I would get fabric and tack it up on the ceiling, maybe one wall depending.

Get a desk and chair.
Make some red pillows to perk up all the grey.
put a pool table, a tv for sure, some couches or chairs, a fan, heater, a fridge, food drinks... the ussual stuff u would need to hang out with your friends...
It is a matter of individual taste and aptitude. keep it simple
simple is elegant.
to brighten da room u can get these small bright lights[like the ones u use on christmas for your tree]and have them all round da room.so it's still cool....u can have posters on da walls and a disco ball on the ceiling...if u can't get hold of any posters u can make a collage out of old pics of u and yr friendzzzzz...hope this helped
