Underground london themed bedroom?
Question:i moved into my house about a year ago, and my parents have been too lazy to decorate.. at all. i recently asked them if i could paint my room, and they refused. it was stupid. my room is this boring neutral tan color, as my carpet is tan too. very very boring. i'm still working on convincing them to paint it, but in the meantime i need ideas to spice it up without painting. I want a underground/london themed room. what things can i get to go with the idea? i went to england five years ago and took some pictures, theres google where i can get pictures. have a union jack i can put up. i'm looking for a (cheap) wall mural poster that would fill up most of the wall behind my bed of a graffiti'ed subway or something of that sort. does anyone know of any places i can get one of those? i can print off some pics of bands (lots of beatles and that kind of thing) /get some posters. what else can i do? curtains? duvet covers? what is there that would be cool?

Use fabric and staple loosly to the top of the wall. You can get fabric on clearence for $1-2 a yard. Its a great re-moveable trick. ou could also go black. I used it for a showcase house I deasigned and we won for best idea!
Why don't you take the pics that you like of the London underground and go to Kinko's and have them blow it up as a mural. Or you can have a huge poster made of the same pic and put it up behind your bed with band posters plastered on the sides.
You can also make your own graffitti to make the room more your own.
You could even get a pic of the subway and put that on your door.
On windows, go and buy cheap window shades and glue your pics on there. Outside will be white so your parents don't get mad,but the inside is all yours.....
