Ideas to paint my walls? please HELP?
Question:Right now my walls are a light purple color. my room is a perfect square with one window and one door. one side of my wall is basically taken up by a closet. i have a futon for a bed... a desk... and a table the my TV sits on, now how should i paint my room that is simple and affordable. should i keep it purple and put some polka dots... blah blah, some ideas or links to pictures please?? thanks! =]

An easy idea is to tape off and paint stripes with clear gloss. It gives the impression of lighter and darker colors.
My room is painted in a purple called vineyard. I have a dark almost eggplant purple headboard and home interior that has purples in it. I've also tied some greens in with it. And some other accent colors. I would look at what you have you would like to decorate your room with or what you can afford to decorate your room with and choose a wallpaper border that has the same colors in it. I would choose a color from the border and have it color matched and work from there I found its much easier from there. If you want to go for a totally different look behr paints have color swatches with colors that go together real good I've found them at home depot. Maybe you can use one of the swatches and choose some colors and use the other colors as accents. good luck
