Urethane is a tough clear plastic that will make your paint job last much longer. You can do the clear coat urethane now or you can leave it off, but you will find it necessary to repaint much sooner without it.

The urethane will be an excellent protectant, and easy to maintain.

This is a tough call, you can urethane the floor but it will make it real slick, if you have not applied the paint yet maybe be a good idea to have your local hardware add some silca sand to it for traction, then it would not matter then and go ahead and urethane it!!
