What color should I paint the livingroom?

Question:I have a brown couch and green chairs, dark earth toned furniture, what color should I paint the livingroom, it is of average size?

Answers:
i painted mine, similar color scheme, a cocoa color, with white trim. it is great, relaxing, different and very pretty..

do a faux finish on the walls, tone on tone colors, single glaze application .

base coat: convival yellow
glaze: galant gold
I would go with an off white color myself.
I would choose a blue shade..Benjamin Moore and Pottery Barn have combined efforts and have some great colors - there are several shades of blue that would work with that green and earth tones..also, choose a "flat" paint..the woodwork in
"linen white" or "navaho"...basically a creamy beige
maybe you should do a kind of neutral-ish yellow or brown. yellow might irratate some, its a personal choice really
It should be a light, bright color. Depending on shade of green:
If it is a blue green, try:
dusty rose
coral
custard yellow
mint or sage green
sky blue
lavender
If it is a yellow green, try:
peach
golden yellow
lime
kelly
aqua
turquoise
honey [ light caramel ]
