Suggestions to organize a small room and make it look good?
Question:My room is really a mess right now, but usually I'm not motivated to clean it, because even after I'm done I hate looking at my room. My room is small and my closet is small and practically full of clothes and junk.. I have a lot of stuff everywhere and I'm hoping someone has suggestions for organizing a room and making it look clean and comfortable. All of the clutter is irritating to look at and I usually just procrastinate and only go in my room to sleep or get something out of it. It's not a TOTAL wreck, I can walk around lol, but still does anyone have suggestions to organize clutter and make it look good for a teen but not spend a lot of money?

One of the quickest ways to make your room smaller is just getting rid of stuff! I'm a messy person too but once I just took the time to take a lot of my little knick-knacks and stuff em in a box in my closet, my room looks cleaner even when its not clean! Having less stuff in your room will always make it look bigger. Showing off your floor space also helps. Look at everything in your room (including furniture) and try really hard to come up with a way to eliminate at least half of it for good. If you don't want to throw things away just put them in boxes in an attic or storage closet.
Check out Ikea. They have some really cute stuff at great prices. If you can't afford to buy anything at least you can get some ideas from looking at their catalog.
You probably also need to go through your things and decide what you need to keep and what you can get rid of.
