Help me. Help me. help?

Question:Spilled a half gallon paint on tile. Was there half the winter but I never go in that closet (I was wondering where that smell came from). heated floor (radiant heat) made it into a thick layer. some cracking off, but the rest is stuck. How the heck do I get it off?

Answers:
It depends on the paint type and brand. My first step would definitely be to call the paint manufacturer if you still have the paint can and explain your situation to them...

I would use a good paint remover (they have products for situations such as this at many home improvement stores) for kids rooms, and different types of paints, etc.

I wouldn't recommend trying to scrape it off, especially if it is ceramic tile that could be scratched...

Hope you get the paint off!

Use a putty knife and scrape it off. You may have to use some goof off to get it off the grout. Good luck!
Try to get as much off as you can with good putty knife. The rest you will have to use a good paint remover. This will not hurt ceramic tile but it may soak into the grout. If so, remove grout as req'd and re-grout. Take your time and it should be OK.
Depends on what kind of paint it is,
Oil,latex.alkyd?

Generally tile is glazed and wont absorb the paint. So once totally dry, it should come off easily. The grout will absorb it especially if it hasn't been sealed recently. That will probably have to be redone.
You could buy some goof-off at Home Depot or Lowes, and that'll help get it off if you cant wait for it to dry completely.
