Laminate or Hardwood?
Question:Where is the cheapest place to get it? Im in WA state, but have heard about Dalton, GA is a floor manufacturing city and a bundle of money can be saved.

Laminate it is cheaper than hardwood and looks great . I found mine on the internet at Lumber Liquidaters.com What I bought was $1.89 sq. ft. with moisture resistant and 25 yr garruntee , also purchase the cleaner makes flooring look nice . Hope this help ,but I always tell people to look there first . Good Luck hope this helps you and your pocket . And you will need the things to put it together with hammer it into place we did a 36 x 36 in a weekend .

laminate is very cheap. it is not solid like hardwood but instead particle board and is not that thick.
i have both in my house as well as bamboo flooring. while the bamboo was thick and very expensive to install...the bamboo dented easily.
the laminate flooring was 99 cents a sq ft and only costed me 300 dollars to do a room in my house. the floor is very durable and after a year not a scratch on it and very easy to clean.
hardwood flooring is absolutely beautiful but not very easy on the wallet. hardwood flooring can be a pain when it comes to installing but they last a long time and are worth the price.
ikea, lowes, homedepot, have a variety of laminate flooring to choose from. when i look at my hardwood floors vs the laminate flooring i can not really tell a difference at all. laminate is easy to install (i am a woman and did mine myself). a jigsaw was all i needed for the laminate vs the various tools i needed for the bamboo flooring and the hardwood.
If you can find a good deal on hardwood that is the way to go. I have oak hardwood through out my kitchen and dinnette area and I love it. Laminate is easier to clean, but it will never have the shine that hardwood does.
I say hardwood. Laminate has a hollow sound when you walk on it. It just isn't the same as real wood. Lumber Liquidators

laminate is the most cost effective way to go. it is cheaper than hardwood flooring and simpler to install. hard wood takes two to three days for the finished product, before you can use it, laminate is a one day job and you can do it yourself. i am a contractor by profession and i recommend laminate to people over hardwood
