Does anyone here use a tankless waterheater? Electric or gas? What is your opinion of them?

A tankless water heater can be good, but it's drawback is that you run out of hot water fairly quickly.
Depending on where you live, Electric can be cheaper than gas, in other areas, gas can be cheaper. Electric tends to be a touch safer...no gas leaks.
yes it`s the best way to heat your water,you dont need a big tank,get gas service it`s cheaper than electric and heats fast to,your next water and gas bills will be lower and save $$$$$$$$$$$$
I had a tankless waterheater by oil and it wasn't bad. But if there are a lot of people in the house that take showers one right after the other it could be a problem. You'll hear--hey what happened to the hot water? I presently have a separate tank by gas, but it's just me and my husband now. Like someone mentioned before, it depends on what part of the country you live in as to whether gas or electricity is cheaper. I think they put the waterless tanks in initially because it's just cheaper for the contractor.
