Where is a good place to buy a sofa? (UK Only!)?

Question:I have just sent back our sofa from DFS as it was absolutely disgusting and so poorly made.

I now need to find a retailer in the UK where I can buy a good quality sofa under £3000.

Please help!

Also has anyone bought a sofa from www.sofa.com as I found them online and they look quite good. :)

Answers:
Try Multiyork. You can choose every aspect of your sofa, stuffing, cushion fillings, seat fillings, coverings, everything and they can all be different from each other too all at the same cost.

I bought mine from Ikea - its so comfy!!
Ikea?
Tesco.com?
i bought mine from land of leather all depends on what yr looking for, but i got mine in a sale and was really good and less than half the original price. They offer insurance which was also really good and reasonably priced, try them if you want a leather one,
I got mine from DFS and no problems. I think you'll find that DFS dont make the sofas only sell them. If you pick a different model, you might have more luck.
Have a look at some of the designers guild chairs - online, then search for stockists. I have found ours to be comfy and well made and they look fab too - which helps! :-)
A really good pace to get your sofas from is 'DFS'. It is really good quality and very cheap compared to most sofa sites! I got mine from there and i have had it for about 24 years and it is still going really strong and looks very healthy!!
Ours was from SCS. Had a problem but the service from the store was superb. Service centre not so good but I contacted the store direct in the end and the manager sorted our problem himself. We weren't followed round by sales people like you are at DFS, they weren't trying to pressurise us into buying at all. Even got a coffee and half an hour to decide without them hanging round. Would recommend.
Ponsfords on london road in sheffield are the best independent furniture retailer in sheffield.
Only the best quality, no tat.
You will get fantastic service and superior quality.
wether you are in need of traditional or contempory, they have it all!
Everyone with plenty of cash, go there.
i hope you find what you are looking for

Definitely DFS, good quality, reasonably priced sofas in all shapes, sizes and colours. Brought mine only two months ago and was so impressed with the whole experience of shopping with them. Good luck
Wow - mine is from DFS and i have had no problems at all.
Ikea have some lovely ones.
The John Lewis Partnership.

In the event of your being dissatisfied you have a good customer relations department to fall back on - if you'll pardon the pun!!
I'm another fan of IKEA. Had mine over seven years, along with some wooden-framed leather chairs.

They're still great!
go on line and ask yellow pages type in your postal code
OMG, dunno which DFS you got yours from but mine is looking tip-top a year on. Maybe you're just picky. I wouldnt go Ikea if DFS didnt do it for you because ikea's sofas are even "disgusting and poorly made" than dfs.
Hey if you live anywhere near Northampton theirs a retailer of sofas here called the sofa king. They sell excellent quality leather and upholestary sofas at very affordable rates. They are sofa king cheap. Good luck.
Ashley's furniture home store.
i can recommend harveys, they delivered on time my sofa's were half price and they were scotch gaurded and insured for free and when my son tore a hole in one they came straight out and repaired it, 2 years later they did the same when i chipped the wood facia with some uncarefull hoovering! nearly three years later my sofa's still look new and i have 2 kids and 2 dogs who abuse them regularly
