How can I remove paint from my carpet?

Question:I have a light tan carpeting and brown acrylic paint was spilled and it is a lot the stain is huge its like a foot by a half foot long the reason this is so huge is because a large jar of acrylic paint was knocked over as my son was rushing out of his room but didn't notice until he came home that it spilled (hours and hours later)

I know regular carpet cleaners will be a waste of time but does anyone have experience in something that will actually work? I am thinking the only thing that one is paint stripper but how I go about doing it I am uncertain. Also I have read that applying heat such as hot water to acrylic helps? I don't know what to do, I would really like to try and get it out because its not in a place you can just put a rug over it any suggestions?

Answers:
you will never get it all the way out

a little bit of gasoline and scrub

A product called OOPS in the paint isle of any Wallmart or K Mart.
you can use gasoline , onother thing that may work is oxiclean soup , buyit in wallmart .
You may use cytrus paint remover, I think is not going to damage the carpet, but read the label.
